If you're a backpacker then you've no doubt come across people traveling with Go Pro cameras. Go Pros and their clones are fantastic cameras for backpackers because of their durability and their ability to follow you wherever go, into the water out up a cliff etc.

We've come across a local reseller of Go Pro type cameras. These cameras, Isaw brand, look like Go Pros with their transparent plastic case and two button controls.

We first became aware of their Isaw cameras when we saw this Isaw dive video on vimeo. It's shot just down the road from us on the Gold Coast's wonderful Spit. The Spit is a great spot for diving, both skin diving and scuba diving. Regular dives are held by local dive groups which you can book through our Tour Desk.

 They also sell Sony Action Cams.

This video below was taken on the other side of The Spit at South Stradbroke. South Straddy, as it's known locally (or often called TOS, which you'll have to figure out when you get here...), is one of the best surf spots around. On a good day it's packed full of surfers but it has it's quiet moments, often when quite good surf is running. We're blessed here on the Gold Coast to have so much so close to us.
